We handle all misdemeanor offenses. Generally, misdemeanor criminal offenses in Idaho are less serious than felonies but are still criminal offenses. The severity of the potential penalties of the Misdemeanor criminal offense can vary.  Some misdemeanors have a maximum penalty of up to 1 year in county jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000. These include simple assault, battery, petit theft, trespassing, and possession of a small amount of certain controlled substances. While other Misdemeanors have a maximum penalty of up to 6 months in county jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000. These offenses may include disorderly conduct, shoplifting, and some first-time DUI (Driving Under the Influence) offenses.
