FELONY
In Idaho, a felony is the most serious offense for which you could face charges. Any offense that is not categorized as a misdemeanor and that carries a death sentence or a state prison sentence qualifies as a felony. Crimes that are prosecuted in Idaho as misdemeanors occasionally have the potential to be upgraded to felonies. Conviction for a felony can seriously affect your future. You might be subject to a variety of additional penalties in addition to jail time, like being denied the opportunity to vote, own a gun, and serve on a jury. All of these rights are normally reinstated after the probationary or parole period.
